MEET THE TEAM
Our Directional Leadership Team and Elder Board work together to shape the vision and direction of Ringgold Church.
Our PASTORS
LEAD PASTOR
Don and Dana Conley
In 1990, Don and Dana Conley uprooted their lives from Indiana to help lead and build up a small church in Hagerstown, Maryland. As they drove up to the church for the first time, the Conley's recalled feeling doubtful about how a church could grow in such a remote area. But God had great things in store, and Ringgold Church became their home. All these years later, Don and Dana continue to lead our fast-growing, innovative, creative, and world-changing church for the glory of God. Their vision is to see broken lives mended by Christ in the various communities surrounding Hagerstown, Maryland and globally.

Are there inactive elders?
Yes. Thank of eldership like presidency… when presidents leave office, they don’t loose their title… but they no longer have any authority. There is a saying, “once a pastor, always a pastor…” this applies to elders as well. Once you have seen the world through God’s eyes… felt the pain of the world through God’s heart… you can’t unsee or un-feel it. However, there are times elders/pastors need to step down or be asked to step down from their responsibilities for whatever reason. There is and always will be a high respect for those who were active elders because it is a high rank within the church — striving to see God’s mission and vision come to life here on this side of heaven.
Our ELDERS
Ringgold is an Elder LED but Pastor DRIVEN church. What does that mean? According to the New Testament, elders are responsible for the primary leadership and oversight of a church. The function and role of an elder is well summarized by Alexander Strauch in his book Biblical Eldership: “Elders lead the church [1 Tim 5:17; Titus 1:7; 1 Peter 5:1–2], teach and preach the Word [1 Timothy 3:2; 2 Timothy 4:2; Titus 1:9], protect the church from false teachers [Acts 20:17, 28–31], exhort and admonish the saints in sound doctrine [1 Timothy 4:13; 2 Timothy 3:13–17; Titus 1:9], visit the sick and pray [James 5:14; Acts 6:4], and judge doctrinal issues [Acts 15:6]. In biblical terminology, elders shepherd, oversee, lead, and care for the local church." Elders are VOLUNTEER staff who have been voted into position based on their faith, life experience, Christian-maturity, and the biblical mandate given in Titus. Elders go to God and create the methods in which we function, our Pastors and staff see the methods through.
