Pray Continually

Mended Life Talk is designed to take you deeper into this past week’s sermon, helping you explore and understand biblical truths while applying them to your daily life. Our goal is to guide you in growing your faith, strengthening your relationship with God, and equipping you to face life’s challenges with a renewed perspective.

1. START TALKING

    • How do you define prayer in your own words?

    • Can you share a time when prayer made a significant impact on your life or someone else’s?

    • What challenges do you face when trying to maintain a consistent prayer life?

Philippians 4:6-7 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

2. START DISCOVERING

    • Why do you think Paul emphasizes rejoicing, praying, and giving thanks as God's will for us?

    • How does the idea of praying continually challenge or encourage you in your current spiritual journey?

Colossians 4:2 "Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.”

Ephesians 6:18 "And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.”

3. START APPLYING

    • What are some distractions that prevent you from praying continually, and how can you overcome them?

    • How can you incorporate prayer into your daily activities, such as work, family time, or leisure?

James 5:16: "Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”

4. START PRAYING

    • Who in your life needs prayer right now, and how can you intercede for them?

    • What specific areas of your life do you need to surrender to God in prayer?

Romans 8:26-27: "In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.”

5. START DOING

    • What is one new habit you can start this week to enhance your prayer life?

    • How can you encourage others in your community or church to pray more consistently?

Matthew 6:6: "But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you."
