Faith Unleashed: Week Five
Week Five Devos: Embracing God’s Call in a Chaotic World
Day 1: Embrace Your Brokenness
Romans 3:23-24 (NLT) "For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins."
Reflect on the reality that we all fall short of God’s glory, yet through Jesus, we are justified by His grace. Embracing our brokenness means acknowledging our need for God’s grace and mercy.
Action Step: Spend time in prayer today, confessing your weaknesses to God and asking for His grace to fill those areas.
Prayer: Lord, help me to see my own brokenness and rely on Your grace. Thank You for loving me despite my flaws. Amen.
Daily Focus: Cultivate humility by recognizing your need for God’s grace in every aspect of your life. Reflect on how acknowledging your brokenness can deepen your relationship with God and others. Consider how this awareness can lead to greater empathy and compassion for the brokenness in others, fostering a community of grace and understanding.
Day 2: Stay Curious
James 1:19 (NLT) "Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry."
Reflect on the importance of being quick to listen and slow to speak, which allows us to stay curious and seek understanding rather than jumping to conclusions. This posture helps us build bridges rather than walls.
Action Step: Engage in a conversation with someone today, asking open-ended questions to understand their perspective better.
Prayer: Father, give me a heart that seeks to understand others. Help me to ask questions and listen well. Amen.
Daily Focus: Practice active listening and seek to understand others before forming judgments. Consider how staying curious can transform your relationships and foster a spirit of unity. Reflect on how curiosity can lead to deeper connections and a more inclusive community, where diverse perspectives are valued and embraced.
Day 3: Live Graciously
Ephesians 4:32 (NLT) “Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you."
Reflect on the call to be kind and compassionate, forgiving others as Christ forgave us. Living graciously means extending the same grace we have received to those around us.
Action Step: Identify someone you need to forgive and take a step towards reconciliation, whether through prayer or a conversation.
Prayer: Jesus, teach me to live graciously. Help me to forgive and love others as You have forgiven and loved me. Amen.
Daily Focus: Extend grace and forgiveness to others, reflecting the love of Christ in your interactions. Explore how living graciously can impact your community and bring healing to broken relationships. Reflect on how a lifestyle of grace can transform not only your personal relationships but also the broader community, creating an environment where love and forgiveness are the norm.
Day 4: Live Intentionally
Matthew 28:19-20 (NLT) “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
Reflect on the Great Commission, which calls us to make disciples. Living intentionally means actively participating in God’s mission and being mindful of how we can impact others for Christ.
Action Step: Identify one person in your life who doesn’t know Jesus and pray for an opportunity to share your faith with them.
Prayer: Lord, guide me to live intentionally for Your kingdom. Show me how I can make a difference in the lives of those around me. Amen.
Daily Focus: Be intentional in your relationships, seeking opportunities to share the gospel and make disciples. Reflect on how intentional living can transform your daily routines into opportunities for ministry. Consider how living with purpose can influence your decisions and priorities, aligning them with God’s mission and creating a ripple effect of impact in your community.
Day 5: Live Sacrificially
Romans 12:1 (NLT) "And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him."
Reflect on what it means to present your body as a living sacrifice, offering your life fully to God. It requires letting go of comfort and embracing the cost of following Jesus.
Action Step: Choose one comfort or habit to sacrifice this week as an offering to God, dedicating that time or resource to serving others.
Prayer: God, help me to live sacrificially. Show me what I need to surrender to You and give me the strength to do it. Amen.

Reflect on how your sacrifices can serve as a testimony to others, demonstrating the transformative power of living fully for Christ.
Day 6: Overcome Fear with Power
2 Timothy 1:7 (NLT) “"For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline."
Reflect on the truth that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. We can live boldly for Christ, knowing that His Spirit empowers us.
Action Step: Identify a fear that holds you back and take a step of faith to confront it, trusting in God’s power.
Prayer: Holy Spirit, fill me with Your power and love. Help me to overcome fear and live courageously for You. Amen.

1 Corinthians 4:20 (NLT) "For the Kingdom of God is not just a lot of talk; it is living by God’s power."
Reflect on the past week and consider how you can continue to live empowered by the Spirit. The Kingdom of God is not just talk; it is living by God’s power.
Action Step: Spend time in prayer and , asking God to reveal areas where you need to recommit to living by His power.
Prayer: Father, thank You for Your Spirit that empowers me. Help me to live out Your mission with grace, intentionality, and sacrifice. I recommit my life to You. Amen.
